Here's a question for any of you out there who are into the culinary arts...how does one go about becoming a professional cake decorater? At this point I'm entirely self-taught, and my methods definitely need refining, but I think this is something I really want to pursue. What kinds of classes could be recommended? Do you know of any websites with helpful tips and tricks? What are your favorite cake/icing/filling recipes? I'm looking for any and all information that I can glean!

In related news, I just made my cousin a Guitar Hero cake for her birthday. I'll be uploading pictures of it as soon as I can get them onto my computer, which will likely be sometime tomorrow. It's a scale replica of a Wii Guitar Hero controller, complete with fondant Wii-mote inlaid into the top. There are a lot of things I could've done to make it come out better, but I was really pleased with the finished product given the time constraints I was under. *happy dance*

Also, I'm looking for something interesting to write about. What kinds of things do you like to read? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Mystery? Something unusual set modern-day, or something in some far-off place and time? And what about the villian? Someone easy to despise, or someone who "could've been great if only..."? It's been too long since I worked on a good story, and I find that I'm wanting to come back to it at last. I have a few ideas, but nothing solid at this point.

I can't think of anything else even remotely interesting to journal about right now, so I think I'll just be off!

Yeah, it does suck, but it's been getting better since then! Thankfully, I didn't do any major damage. I've just got to keep being careful with it!

And I can honestly say that the cakes were delicious. :~D Though admittedly, they were all box cake mixes to begin with! (Except for the chocolate one, that one I made from scratch!)

*Grins*

Yeah, the good part about the memory card going down, though, is that it's like have thirty brand new games to play! *tries to be optimistic*

And I think we should round up all of the tendinitis and trap it in a room with Marth for a while. He'd make it so sad that it would never bother anyone ever again! ;~)

Oh, I found a real-life fan boy (online) who looks just like Link when in costume! He also pulls off an awesome Marth!

.... no, I won't stalk him. I'm not creepy that way.

I keep a watch on your favs, and I do adore some of the art therein! :)

I'll be showing Sarah your latest in the a.m. (she's in bed already now), she'll be excited. :)

Glad it made it through the mail okay, and I look forward to the "lettering"! And in regards to staying awake, I suggest either lots of sleep or lots of caffine! ;)
